Hockey East has announced that Boston College freshman forward Cutter Gauthier is the Hockey East Rookie of the Week.

Gauthier picked up two points (goal, assist) at Frozen Fenway in his first game back from duty with Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championship.

The Scottsdale native opened the scoring in front of 22,501 fans at Fenway Park with his 11th goal of the season, leading the Eagles to a 4-2 win over No. 15 UMass. He had a career-high nine shots on net and won seven of nine faceoffs.
