The USPHL has announced that Fort Wayne Spacemen goalie Austin Schaertel is the Midwest Elite Division Goaltender of the Month.

Schaertel posted one of the strongest goaltending months in the division, finishing February with a .968 save percentage and a 0.94 goals-against average. The Mesa native went 2-1-0 and recorded a shutout.

Back home, Schaertel played for the Arizona Hockey Union, DYHA Jr. Sun Devils and Pinnacle High School.
