Mesa native, Jr. Coyotes, Bobcats alum Day takes next step with commitment to NCAA D-III UW-River Falls
The NAHL’s Oklahoma Warriors have announced that forward Trace Day has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
A 6-foot-4 forward from Mesa, Day is a third-year veteran of the NAHL and spent this past season splitting time with the Warriors and Austin Bruins.
He started his age-out year with the Bruins and laced up in 38 contests, recording 20 points on nine goals and 11 assists. He was then acquired by the Warriors in early February and skated with the team for the remainder of the season, logging 26 points in 21 games, notching 12 goals and 14 assists.
In the postseason, Day scored two goals in three playoff games for the Warriors.
Back home, Day skated for the Jr. Coyotes and Arizona Bobcats.
