Arizona natives Inabinet, Tamburo collect weekly awards from NCDC, USPHL

The NCDC and USPHL have announced their weekly player awards, with two Arizona talents honored.

Idaho Falls Spud Kings goalie Tucker Inabinet is the NCDC Mountain Division Goaltender of the Week, while Islanders Hockey Club netminder Tagger Tamburo is the USPHL New England Elite Division Goaltender of the Week.

Three weeks straight, Inabinet has been the go-to goaltender in the Mountain Division. In going 1-1 this past weekend, the ‘03 from Phoenix stopped 57 of 60 shots and went 1-1. He broke what had been a five-game winning streak, but has improved to 12 wins and a .926 save percentage for the season.

Back home, Inabinet starred for the Jr. Coyotes.

Tamburo, an ‘04 out of Phoenix, has racked up four wins in a row, including his most recent to close the regular season. He stopped 27 of 28 against the Springfield Pics on Feb. 21. That gave him a 15-6-2-0 with a 1.95 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage.

In Arizona, Tamburo played for the Jr. Coyotes, Bobcats, DYHA, and Desert Vista High School.
