Arizona trio of Bonaldi, Dumesnil, Ebeyer bags weekly honors from USPHL

Three players with Arizona connections have earned weekly accolades from the USPHL.

Arizona Bobcats alum and Las Vegas Thunderbirds blueliner Nick Bonaldi is the Pacific Division Defenseman of the Week, while Bakersfield Roughnecks goaltender Connor Dumesnil (Phoenix) is the Pacific Division Goalie of the Week and Springfield Pics goalie Chase Ebeyer (Scottsdale) is the North Division Elite Goaltender of the Week.

Bonaldi, a 2003-born Las Vegas native, has nearly doubled his points with the T-Birds in the 2021-22 regular season. Assisting goals seems to be his forte as he earned himself six points this weekend, five of which were assists.

So far this season, he has 30 points with 25 assists and five goals.

Dumesnil, a 2004 birth year, earned two wins for the Roughnecks this weekend. He picked up an 8-2 victory and a 4-1 victory over the opposing Lake Tahoe Lakers, for a weekend total of 59 saves on 62 shots. This brings his overall save percentage to .915.

During his youth hockey days, Dumesnil played for the Jr. Coyotes, Arizona Bobcats, and Pinnacle High School.

Ebeyer, another 2004 birth year, has been knocking on the door for his first win, and now has it – along with a three-game streak of going unbeaten in regulation.

On Nov. 12, he stopped 39 of 41 Boston Jr. Bruins shots to help his team to a 3-2 victory. Since Oct. 29, he is 1-0-1-1, and overall on the season, holds a very impressive .932 save percentage.

In Arizona, Ebeyer played for the DYHA Jr. Sun Devils and for Pinnacle High School.
