Atlantic Hockey America has announced that Air Force senior Guy Blessing is the AHA Goaltender of the Week.

The Chandler native helped lead the Falcons to a 4-3 overtime win over Arizona State on Oct. 5. Blessing stopped 32 of 35 shots in the game.

After ASU scored two goals in the first five minutes of the game, Blessing made 24 straight saves as the Falcons rallied for the win. He made 12 saves in the third period and one in overtime.

This goaltender of the week award is the fourth of Blessing’s career (one as a sophomore and two as a junior).

In his youth hockey days, Blessing played for VOSHA, DYHA, CAHA, AHU and in AHSHA for Hamilton High School, spending the most time with the Jr. Sun Devils and Knights.
