Ice Wolves name Bentley, Holt team captains, Becker, Dulak alternates for ’21-22 NAHL season
The NAHL’s New Mexico Ice Wolves today announced team captains and alternate captains for the 2021-22 season.
Forward Dillan Bentley and defenseman Brandon Holt were named team captains while defenseman Mitch Becker and forward Nikolai Dulak were named alternate captains.
Bentley (pictured right) joined the Ice Wolves for a single game in the inaugural 2019-20 season. In Bentley’s first full season with the team in 2020-21, he tallied 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points in 54 games, finishing sixth among Ice Wolves players. Through four games this season, Bentley has racked up four points on two goals and two assists.
Holt (pictured top) is in his third year with the Ice Wolves after playing in 50 games in the team’s inaugural season and 53 games in the 2020-21 season. During the inaugural 2019-20 season, Holt totaled 14 points on two goals and 12 assists. Last season, the blueliner had six goals and 16 assists for 22 points on the season.
Just before the start of the 2021-22 season, Holt announced his commitment to NCAA Division I University of Maine (Hockey East) to continue his hockey career. Holt has played in all four games this season, helping the Ice Wolves to a franchise-best start at 3-1-0.
Becker (pictured bottom left) joined the Ice Wolves in the team’s inaugural season. During that season, Becker dished out six assists in 37 games as a rookie in the NAHL. In 2020-21, Becker scored two goals and had 10 assists for a total of 12 points on the season. Through four games this season, Becker has one assist.
Dulak (pictured above right) is a second-year forward for the Ice Wolves. In his first season with the Ice Wolves, he played in 53 games, posting 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points. His stellar 2020-21 season earned him NAHL South Division All-Rookie Team honors. He was also named to the All-NAHL Second Team to complete his successful rookie year. Playing in three games to this point this season, Dulak has two goals.
