Jr. Coyotes alum Littler picks up weekly honors from BCHL
The BCHL has announced that Wenatchee Wild forward Cade Littler is the 2nd Star of the Week.
Littler tied for the league lead in points and goals last week, finishing with three markers and one helper for four points in two games.
The Calgary Flames draft pick scored twice in Wenatchee’s Friday night road game against the Trail Smoke Eaters. He scored once in the second to briefly give the Wild a 3-2 lead, then again in the third to tie it up 5-5, in a game Trail would eventually win 7-5.
The next night, Littler assisted on the game-winning goal early in the third period and scored the insurance marker into an empty net late in Wenatchee’s 3-1 win over the Cranbrook Bucks, the team’s first victory of the season.
Through five games in 2022-23, the 18-year-old Minnesota State University commit has picked up right where he left off last year and is tied for the team lead in scoring with seven points. He also leads the Wild with four goals.
During his youth hockey career, Littler spent time with the Jr. Coyotes.
