Jr. Coyotes alum, Surprise native Benjamin takes home weekly NCDC accolades
The USPHL has announced that Utica Jr. Comets forward Niko Benjamin is the NCDC New England Division Forward of the Week.
Benjamin, a Surprise native and the NCDC’s active leader in games played with 158 (good for sixth all-time in NCDC history), was huge for the Jr. Comets as they won two of three of their games during their trip to Worcester to face the Railers and Boston Jr. Rangers. He posted a goal and five assists for six points in three games.
He currently has 16 points in 16 games this season, and 73 points in his career that dates back to the 2021-22 season, all spent with Utica. Benjamin is the Jr. Comets games played leader and ranks sixth in points all-time for Utica.
During his youth hockey days, Benjamin played for the Jr. Coyotes.
