The USPHL has announced that Islanders Hockey Club goalie Tagger Tamburo is the New England Elite Division Goaltender of the Week.

Tamburo (‘04/Phoenix) won his game for the Islanders on Dec. 6, with 26 saves on 27 shots for a .962 save percentage. Tamburo is 5-0-0-0 in his second season with the Islanders, with 27 career games and a .926 career save percentage.

In Arizona, Tamburo played for the Jr. Coyotes, Arizona Bobcats, DYHA, and Desert Vista High School.
