Arizona natives Anderson, Grantham recognized with weekly EHL honors
The EHL has announced that a pair of Arizona natives have earned weekly EHLP Star of the Week honors.
New Hampshire Avalanche defenseman Curtis Anderson is a Star of the Week for the Northeast Conference, while New Jersey 87’s forward Colin Grantham is a Mid-Atlantic Conference Star of the Week.
Anderson has continued to be a strong force on defense for the Avalanche, recording eight points in the last four games.
The Queen Creek native had a standout performance against the New England Wolves, posting two goals and two assists as he played a key role in the team’s 7-3 win.
Anderson is now up to 17 points on the season (five goals, 12 assists) and will look to keep this momentum going when the Avalanche take on the Nor’Easter and the Express this Tuesday in the EHLP showcase.
Back home, Anderson played for the Arizona Bobcats and Campo Verde High School.
Grantham played a key role in the 87’s 2-0 win over the Atlantic City Seals, scoring both goals to earn the win.
The forward from Phoenix now has 11 points on the season so far with five goals and six assists and continues to be a strong offensive contributor for New Jersey.
The 87’s will take on the Union Junior Thunder on Friday.
In the desert, Grantham skated for Mission AZ and Mountain Ridge High School.
