Fort Wayne Spacemen goalie Austin Schaertel has been named the USPHL Midwest Elite Division Goaltender of the Week.

Schaertel stopped 20 shots in a 5-2 win on Friday against the Florida Jr. Blades, good for a .909 SV%. 

Back home, the Mesa native played for the Arizona Hockey Union, DYHA Jr. Sun Devils and Pinnacle High School.
