The USPHL has announced its players of the week with one coming from Arizona as Fort Wayne Spacemen goalie and Mesa native Austin Schaertel is the Midwest Elite Division Goaltender of the Week.

Schaertel posted an 18-save shutout victory last Thursday on the road over the MJDP.

Back home, Schaertel played for the Arizona Hockey Union, DYHA Jr. Sun Devils and Pinnacle High School.
