As the Arizona Coyotes transition to a new chapter, the participants, coaches, volunteers and supporters of the One Step Coyotes, want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the entire Coyotes organization for their unwavering support of the One Step Beyond adaptive hockey program.

One Step Beyond provides comprehensive programming and services for adults who have intellectual disabilities. We empower our participants to achieve independence, self-sufficiency and employment through innovative culinary, education, fitness and arts programs. We rely on our strategic partnerships with local businesses and organizations like the Arizona Coyotes so that we can help enable our participants to contribute to and achieve greater social participation in the Valley community.

For years, the Coyotes have been more than just a hockey team to us. Their commitment to inclusivity and community outreach has been truly remarkable. Through their support, our One Step Coyotes program has been able to provide individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to learn and play the game of hockey in a safe and supportive environment.

The Arizona Coyotes have not only provided financial support to our program but have also been actively involved, with players and staff members volunteering their time to mentor and coach our participants. Howler, a team favorite, has also made a lasting impression on our players. He has helped our players develop their skills, build confidence, and foster friendships both on and off the ice.

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to the Arizona Coyotes as they embark on their new journey in Utah. While we will miss their presence and support, we are incredibly grateful for the lasting impact they have had on our program and the lives of our participants. The lessons learned, friendships formed, and memories created will forever be cherished.

To the Arizona Coyotes organization, leadership, players, and staff, thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and being a shining example of what it means to be a true community partner. You will always hold a special place in the hearts of the One Step Coyotes family.
