A pair of Arizona products have been named to the 2023 United States National Junior Team.

Scottsdale natives and forwards Cutter Gauthier and Red Savage are two of the 25 players that will play at the IIHF World Junior Championship Dec. 26, 2022-Jan. 5, 2023 in Halifax, N.S., and Moncton, N.B.

The United States will face off against Finland Dec. 19 and against Sweden Dec. 21 in exhibition games before the tournament gets underway on Dec. 26. Every Team USA game at the World Juniors will be broadcast on NHL Network.

Savage, a Jr. Coyotes graduate and Detroit Red Wings prospect, is currently a sophomore at Miami University while Gauthier, a Philadelphia Flyers draft pick, is a freshman at Boston College.

Both also played for the U.S. National Team Development Program, Savage from 2019-21 and Gauthier from 2020-22.
