Phoenix native Dumesnil, Scottsdale’s Henderson earn weekly honors from USPHL

 

The USPHL has announced that Bakersfield Roughnecks goalie Connor Dumesnil and Chicago Cougars defenseman Trey Henderson have earned weekly honors from the league.

Dumesnil is the Pacific Premier Goaltender of the Week, while Henderson is the Midwest Elite Defenseman of the Week.

A 2004 birth year from Phoenix, Dumesnil stopped 67 of 68 shots in his two starts against the San Diego Sabers, with a 33-save performance on 34 shots in Game 1 and a 34-save shutout in Game 3.

He sports a .985 save percentage and a 0.50 GAA.

Back home, Dumesnil played for the Jr. Coyotes, Arizona Bobcats, and Pinnacle High School.

Henderson, an ‘05 out of Scottsdale, posted three goals and one assist for four points in two of the three games against the Decatur Blaze. He was called up to the Premier for their Oct. 1 game, as well.
