Bobcats standout, Chandler native Noonan heading to play juniors in Manitoba in ’21-22
Dean Noonan is using a solid 2020-21 season with the Arizona Bobcats’ 18U AAA team to help propel him to the junior hockey ranks.
This week, the Neepawa Natives of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League announced that they have signed the 2002-born Chandler native for the 2021-22 season.
“I am looking forward to being a part of the Neepawa Natives,” Noonan said. “I would also like to thank the Arizona Bobcats and coaches (Pat) Conacher, (Derek) Morris and (Brent) Gough for all the help and trust they have shown in me.”
“I am excited for Dean and his opportunity with the Natives,” added Gough. “Dean is a competitive player that leads by example, and his new coaches and fans will enjoy watching him.”
Noonan has played in 19 games in the NAPHL this season and has registered two goals and six assists to go along with 26 penalty minutes.
He is also currently a captain for the Bobcats.
