Back on May 12, the USPHL’s National Collegiate Development Conference held its 2021 Entry Draft, which allowed teams the opportunity to draft 2001- through 2004-born players onto their organizational rosters.

A total of 155 players were selected by the 13 NCDC teams in the 12-round draft from countries all over the world, and from dozens of different leagues – Junior, Midget and Prep alike – including two players with Arizona connections.

The Utica Jr. Comets selected 2004-born forward Niko Benjamin and 2003-born forward Caden Butler from the Jr. Coyotes.

Both players are Phoenix natives as well.
