Scottsdale native Gauthier reels in weekly Hockey East honors for second time in ’23-24
For the second time this season, Boston College sophomore forward Cutter Gauthier has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week.
Gauthier is coming off a four-point weekend with three goals and an assist in a two-game sweep of UConn. He scored twice on Friday night in a 5-4 victory at Kelley Rink, including the game-tying goal in the third period and the game-winning goal in overtime. Gauthier added a key insurance goal late in the third period of Saturday’s 3-0 shutout of the Huskies in Storrs.
The Scottsdale native has now scored 11 goals in 12 games this season, leading Hockey East and ranking fourth nationally in goals per game. Gauthier is tied for the NCAA lead in both power-play goals (6) and game-winning goals (4). Gauthier has three multi-goal games this season and leads the country in shots on goal with 67, including 22 over his last three games.
