Boston College freshman Cutter Gauthier has been named the Hockey East Rookie of the Month for February.

Gauthier led all Hockey East rookies with 10 points on three goals and seven assists in eight games during the month. He had at least one point in seven of his eight games with a pair of multi-point outings, including a three-point night at Maine last Friday.

The forward from Scottsdale posted a team-best 33 shots on goal, which ranked sixth in the NCAA among first-year players, and was plus-two for the month.

Overall, Gauthier currently ranks second in the league in both goals per game (0.57) and power-play goals (seven).
