Jr. Coyotes grad, ASU commit Castor named USHL Co-Goaltender of the Week

The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced its weekly awards for the week ending Nov. 13, 2016, and one Arizona connection picked up one of the honors.

CCM Co-Goaltender of the Week
Jaxon Castor – Dubuque Fighting Saints
2-0-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .958 SV%

Castor won back-to-back starts over the weekend, including a 30-save shutout on Saturday. The shutout was the second of the season, and third of Castor’s career.

The Arizona State University commit is now 7-6-0-1 on the season with a 1.94 GAA and .917 save percentage. Castor has won three of his last four starts, and was a big factor in Dubuque sweeping Green Bay on the weekend.

The Phoenix native is in his second season with the Fighting Saints and previously played for the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (T1EHL). Dubuque selected Castor in the 2015 USHL Phase II Draft in the second round (28th overall).
